New EP, "Srmon", out on May 10th!

Formed in 2023 by guitarist and primary songwriter Richard Carrell, Hellpriests is a four-piece band that delves into the darkest corners of the metal spectrum. Drawing influences from the likes of Behexen, and Cult of Fire, the band's sound is a relentless onslaught of aggression and atmosphere, infused with themes of history, art, and the horrors of life.
"Sermon" is a five-track EP that delves heavily into anti-religious themes, featuring heavy drums, aggressive tremolo-focused guitar riffs, and powerful, intricate basslines. At the forefront are a variety of vocal styles, ranging from guttural lows to shrieks and screeches, provided by vocalist Joel Campos.
For fans of Marduk, Satyricon, and Dissection, "Sermon" promises to deliver an uncompromising journey into the depths of black metal, exploring themes of darkness, rebellion, and spiritual turmoil.
Richard Carrell, guitarist and primary songwriter for Hellpriests, expresses his excitement about the upcoming release: "With 'Sermon,' we aimed to create a visceral experience that challenges conventional beliefs and delves into the darkest aspects of existence. This EP represents the culmination of our collective vision and dedication to the black metal genre."
